Yippeee! The new polytunnel arrived today

Hello Bloomers,

Today we took delivery of the new poly tunnel!

Due to the success we have had this year we decided that a bigger and better poly tunnel was needed. So, we invested a few of our pennies and bought a new polytunnel to help nurture our young seedlings. Especially as this year we were short of space for all our young seedlings that needed that bit of extra protection from the cold Welsh winds. Our shower door cold frames and existing polytunnel were bursting at the seams.

We aim to have the new one in place in the next few weeks. We'll post pictures of the construction and of the finished tunnel. So check back here for 'tunnel' updates.

(If any of you are experienced at erecting polytunnels - especially sheeting them in gusty winds, as it's always windy in our part of Wales, then please get in touch.)

On the growing front.... our Zinnias are now sadly over. The cooler weather we've had coming in from the North over the last few days has made the Zinnias droop. On the plus side, the Chrysanthemums are pretty much in full bloom now. So these will be winging their way to our customers in their orders inamongst all our other lovely flowers that are in bloom this week. Also our remaining Hydrangea heads are now starting to turn a gorgeous pinky greeny colour - when dried this will look fab dotted around the house at Christmas inamongst some holly and ivy on the mantlepiece.

Now back to planning the layout of this new tunnel......

Ta Ta for now

Cathy
