Which flowers to grow.....?

A Bloomin big hello to everyone!

We're still ploughing our way through all the seed catalogues and brochures for the 2011 season and coming up with list after list of things that we'd like to grow.  So far I think we have well over 150 different plants on numerous different lists and bits of paper that we'd like to grow to use in our seasonal bunches and bouquets next year!  We just can't all agree.  So, dear readers, it's over to you.  We need your help!  On the Brecon Blooms website we have started a poll to see which are your favourite flowers.  The top five flowers as voted by you will be appearing in our bunches and bouquets next year.  Your vote counts!

Apart from debating over what to grow we're busy trying to dig and turn our vacant plots in time for winter so that the frosts and the weather can break the clods of soil down.  We're also busy planting up even more baskets, buckets and bowls for our Christmas range of indoor spring bulbs.  This is a job we fight over as it's an indoor job and at the moment the wind is blowing from the North so on our spot on a Welsh hillside it's getting a bit chilly.  Before we know it it'll be vest weather and thermal welly time.

Whilst I'm here I'd like to mention that we'll be appearing at a number of farmers markets and Christmas markets during Novemeber and December.  Dates are yet to be confirmed but as soon as we have things finalised we'll make sure to post the dates on our website.  So if you're in the area pop along and say hello.  We love to chat flowers.

We'd also like to say a big "well done and Congratulations" to our friends over at Designs 4 Ewe.  Their website is now up and running.  So should you have any embroidery or pringint needs then I'm sure Kayleigh and the team will be delighted to hear from you.  You can find their link in our 'links' section or click here to be taken to the Designs 4 Ewe website.

Anyway, keep on Blooming

Cathy
